May 26 : a) History 300 Race, b) NWAAS - LMS/LT/ST/TK/H short track races (Hickory Speedway). b) "Loverboy" and "Night Ranger" rock bands start at 8 pm on the Coca-Cola stage at Speed Street.

May 27 : Pre-race salute to USA armed forces followed by 53rd Coca-Cola 600 Race, featuring first time driver/model Miss Danica "Go Daddy" Patrick.
